Mindfulness is a form of meditation practice that trains our attention to what is happening in the here and now. By living in the present moment we can come to realise that a lot of modern-day stress and suffering is unnecessary.
Neuroscience research has shown that regular mindfulness practice can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other health conditions that come about through stress and worry
What Mindfulness Can Help:
- Concentration and focus
- Manage emotional and physical pain
- Improve sleep quality
- Support immune system
- Aid digestion
- Help relationships and overall wellbeing and outlook to life
- Improve resilience to stress
- Reducing reactions to stress
What to expect:
Stress can be highly contagious affecting so many people and their families today. I teach an accredited 8 week mindfulness course for stress (MBSR), as well as mindful parenting classes and individual or couple sessions. These are run online via Zoom sessions in small groups with face to face individual & couple sessions at the Complementary Health Partnership in Claygate, Surrey
When we are aware of our thoughts, feelings and body sensations we can recognise the signs of stress and therefore take steps to improve our wellbeing.
With over six years of teaching experience, I offer everyday mindful living practices together with stress management tools and coping strategies that encourage mind and body awareness. These include:
- Breath work & mindful movement
- Mind & body meditations
- Anxiety & stress relief
- Mindfulness for pain management
- Teen health & mindful parenting
- Mindful communications & creativity
Book a taster session to understand the benefits of mindfulness and how it can support your health and wellbeing. Normally a course of 6 to 8 sessions is offered as a beginner’s course to ensure the full range of practices are introduced into your everyday life.

Sam WeerasingheMindfulness Coach
I am a qualified MBSR mindfulness coach, teaching mindful-based stress intervention. I have been taught Mindfulness by a number of inspirational teachers and have a strong interest in mindful self-compassion practices and mindful movement, having practiced yoga for over 28 years.
I found the programme beneficial as it helped me to challenge my thoughts and be more compassionate to myself, I also enjoyed the practical elements and learning to meditate.
I will take a lot away with me to put into practice, the coaches & the course has given me many great tools to help me parent more mindfully.
