What is NLP?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a psychological approach developed from analysing strategies used by successful individuals and applying them to reach personal goals.

NLP relates thoughts, language, and patterns of behaviour learned through experience of specific
outcomes.

What is EMDR?

Eye movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Unlike other treatments that focus on more directly altering the emotions, thoughts and responses resulting from traumatic experiences, EMDR therapy focuses more directly on the memory, and is intended to change the way the memory is stored in the brain in turn reducing and eliminating the problematic symptoms.

What is Time Line Therapy®

Time Line Therapy® involves treatment at an unconscious level and allows a client to surrender negative emotions linked to past experiences and transform their internal programming. ... The internal programming is often the mechanism that is responsible for our outward expressions of emotions.

Case Study Example:

Jackie came to me suffering heightened levels of anxiety and daily panic attacks to the point of finding difficulty in doing those normal everyday tasks like going out to walk the dog or going to her local shop.

During information gathering Jackie explained to me that earlier in her life she had experienced two major traumatic incidents neither of which she had connected to what she was currently experiencing.

Our approach began by addressing the traumatic experiences in this instance working with EMDR over two sessions. At the end of each session Jackie reported the feeling of something leaving her or as she said exhausting itself from her body.

On our third session Jackie reported that she felt different inside, less anxiety, the panic attacks had significantly reduced and that she felt more able to approach doing more of the everyday things that she used to avoid.

With a few more sessions Jackie felt that she now had a new and more solid foundation on which to build her future.

On seeing Jackie one year later she reported that her anxiety fears and panics remained diluted with positive change and progress continuing.
